The story of the OW Astrochron began in Zurich nearly sixty years ago, at the heart of one of the most ambitious periods of exploration in history. The quest for speed, distance, and depth was placing the world at the threshold of new territories, the most iconic of which was space. This celestial realm, the ultimate symbol of exploration, inspired the name of the famous three-register Ollech & Wajs chronograph launched in 1967. NASA's most eminent scientists were among the professionals who used the Astrochron's various dials and scales. Engineers, athletes, professional and military divers, pilots, and naval officers also quickly recognized the value of this precise, robust, and waterproof timekeeping instrument.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Dimensions	39.5 mm × 16.8 mm
Housing	Brushed 316L stainless steel, screw-down case back, screw-down crown, two pushers with four gaskets. Date setting via a dedicated diving pusher at 10 o'clock. 360° rotating compass bezel with cardinal point markers and angular scale, or a two-tone 60-minute bezel with a 20-minute diving scale. Made in the Swiss Jura.
Glass	Semi-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating
Dial	Hands and indices with Super-LumiNova®. Small seconds, 12-hour totalizer and 30-minute counter incorporating a regatta counter.
Waterproofing	500 m / 50 ATM
Movement	Valjoux 7753 OW Precision 5 automatic chronograph, adjusted in positions; 27 jewels; frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour; power reserve of approximately 54 hours. Plate engraved "Ollech & Wajs Zurich 1956" and OW machined rotor.
