FURLAN MARRI

Between tradition and modernity

An attractive chronograph crafted with attention to detail, featuring "Tasti Tondi" engraved pushers, a decagonal screw-down caseback with a pearl-grained finish on the inside and a circular brushed and polished finish on the outside. The domed and curved hands add even more sophisticated detail to this 38mm wristwatch.

Mecaquartz movements were first invented in Switzerland and Japan during the quartz crisis in the late 1980s. In Switzerland, Piguet and LeCoultre were the first to develop this particular type of movement. With the advent of quartz movements, watchmakers wanted to recreate the impression of a smooth second hand, a characteristic previously reserved for mechanical watches. They therefore designed a mechanical module that could be combined with the precision of a quartz battery. In Japan, Seiko seized this opportunity by bringing this movement to the market. Today, Furlan Marri aims to revive the history of "Mecaquartz," which is also an integral part of Swiss watchmaking heritage.

Inspired by the Swiss and Japanese watchmaking history of the 1980s, the Ardesia Blu chronograph combines classic design with modernity. Its 38 mm 316 stainless steel case is topped with an anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint sapphire crystal. The slate blue dial with matte and glossy finishes, accompanied by domed hands, evokes timeless elegance. Equipped with the Seiko VK64 Mechaquartz hybrid movement, the watch offers the precision of quartz with the sensation of mechanical triggering. The pulsometric scale (15 beats) engraved on the dial echoes the medical instruments of yesteryear. Water-resistant to 5 ATM, equipped with a screw-down decagonal case back, and mounted on a blue nubuck strap with a quick-release system, the Ardesia Blu is designed for everyday wear, without compromising on style or history.
