L'Inopinée Genevoise has firmly adhered to the brand's spirit since its origins, reconnecting with the journey of its founding watchmaker, whose first job after leaving school was in Geneva. The golden hands, deliberately undersized compared to the case, mark the hours in the soberly pad-printed square of the dial, which allows for a serene breathing space while displaying the brand's three Fates logo.
Although this dial design is exclusive to our Geneva boutique, you can customize its color. Choose from the available options or request a color of your choice.
THE MOVEMENT - Currently, our watches are equipped with the Swiss hand-wound caliber AS 1012 and its variations. These 5 1/2 ''' movements were manufactured between the 1930s and 1970s, a time when the brilliance of these mechanical jewels shone throughout the world. A choice piece then adopted by many brands for the reliability of its design. Often made from cast iron, these movements were stripped when the owners wanted to recover the precious materials from the case, to create a new jewel or extract its monetary value. Today, we combine them with new pieces in timeless timepieces.
THE CASE - Oval in shape, the case of L'Inopinée is made of satin-finished 316 L stainless steel, and is made of two clipped parts: the caseband and the caseback. The latter is engraved and openworked with an eyelet that partially reveals the workings hidden beneath the case. Its small size, contained in 37mm, recalls the size of watches of the past, more sober, suitable for both women and men.
THE CROWN - Engraved with the brand's logo, it has a partial 240° notch. Its orientation, to the right or left of the case, is at the wearer's discretion.
THE DIAL - Simplicity is key: the hours are pad-printed on a thick square. The brand's logo, isolated and in a red livery, recalls both ancient wax seals and Far Eastern seals.
THE NEEDLES - “Stick” shaped, they have a finesse that gently connects us to the present moment.
THE BRACELET - For their creation, the SEMPER & ADHUC workshop partnered with Bordeaux leather craftsman Vincent Jacquinot. The French leathers are specifically selected for our watches, in order to offer a quality range, whose traceability we control.
THE BOX - Made of machined cork and hot-gold cardboard, this box holds your watch with an elegant Japanese clasp. Included are the user manual with the international warranty, as well as the tool for changing the strap yourself.
PERSONALIZATION - Each customer can, according to their tastes and desires, choose to personalize their Inopnée Genevoise, by selecting new shades for the dial and hands and by requesting an engraving on the back of the watch.
