The very first clocks in the UTINAM collection! Standing at two meters twenty, the elegance and haughty bearing of this great lady reminds us that she is the primary figure of UTINAM Besançon clocks. This collection, stretched out in brushed stainless steel, is now enriched with a corten steel version. Living matter and symbolic slenderness, or how to affirm the history of time in everyday life.
In 2005, Philippe Lebru invented the self-balancing pendulum movement. The system won the Grand Prix du Concours Lépine in Paris and the Gold Medal for Watchmaking at the Geneva Inventions Exhibition. It is suspended, and therefore perfectly aligned vertically, by the principle of gravity. The concept is patented; it guarantees the perfect functioning of the mechanism.
