A new vision of cosmic design
Sin, after the Mesopotamian god of the moon. In terms of complexity and unorthodox time display, this piece rivals the house's other unusual creations.
Instead, Jouvenot now lets the moon and sun celebrate the day on a futuristic dial that, to the observer, resembles a breathtaking trompe-l'oeil.
The moon appears at sunset and is gradually overtaken by the hour hand, which appears to revolve around the minute star located in the center of the dial.
During the moon's progression, the sun is hidden – behind the horizon, so to speak – in a cosmic tunnel that extends from 3 to 9 hours and rises again the next morning.
The choreography of the elements reflects the perpetual spectacle that takes place in the firmament.
