Schwarz Etienne

Manufactured in 1902

The brand's history

Founded in 1902 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Paul Arthur Schwarz and Olga Etienne, Schwarz Etienne is a historic watchmaking manufacture specializing in the creation of mechanical movements. Long managed by the founding family, the company has expanded into Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, collaborating with prestigious clients and producing for various brands.

After a period of diversification during the watchmaking crisis, Schwarz Etienne returned in 1985 to his original profession: the design of movements and watches, while creating his own collections.

Taken over in 2007 by entrepreneur Raffaello Radicchi, the Maison strengthened its watchmaking division and developed a series of innovative mechanical movements based on an evolving platform. Today, Schwarz Etienne is one of the few manufacturers to produce its watches, movements, components, and even the regulating organ entirely in-house, affirming its expertise, creativity, and independence.
