Founded in Bristol in 1846 by young watchmaker Edwin Fear, Fears is one of the United Kingdom's oldest family watchmaking houses. Passed down through six generations, the brand embodies a rare balance between heritage and modernity. Closed in 1976, it was revived in 2016 by Nicholas Bowman-Scargill, a direct descendant of the founder.

Since then, Fears has paid tribute to its past while moving forward with ambition: in 2021, it celebrated its 175th anniversary with the Archival 1930, a reinterpretation of an Art Deco model. In 2022, it relocated its headquarters to Bristol, and in 2023, it unveiled two strong pieces: the Alliance 01, in collaboration with Christopher Ward, and the Brunswick Au, in solid gold, launched during King Charles III's coronation.

Fears thus continues to promote British watchmaking, blending artisanal excellence with a contemporary vision.
